Model & Actress Cindy Margolis Becomes Poker Pro

We have heard of lawyers who become poker professionals, teachers who become poker professionals, engineers who become poker professionals, or physicians who become poker professionals. We have definitely heard of actors and actresses who become poker professionals, and one of them is Cynthia Dawn Margolis, also known as Cindy Margolis. Cindy Margolis is not only an actress but she is also a model. And now, she holds his third profession as a female poker professional.

Before, we would only see Cindy Margolis on television, in motion pictures, and in magazines or periodicals. Now, she can also be seen in casinos. Born in Los Angeles, California on October 1, 1965, Cindy Margolis was first known as a model before turning into an actress. Her modeling career started when she was a college student at the California State University, Northridge. A class project gave her the opportunity to become the cover girl of greeting cards wherein she was discovered by several agents. Soon thereafter, she received offers to endorse such companies as Sunkist, Hanes, Frederick's of Hollywood, Coors, Vidal Sassoon, and Reebok.

Due to her success as a model, Cindy Margolis eventually received offers to appear on television and in films. One of her television appearances included being one of the Barker's Beauties in the television program "The Price is Right." She also appeared in the motion picture "Austin Powers." Furthermore, she eventually had a television show of her own called "The Cindy Margolis Show." Such television program was filmed in Miami Beach, Florida and aired in the United States in 2000.

Once regarded by the Guinness Book of World Records as the Most Downloaded Person in 1999, Cindy Margolis exposure to the poker scene started in November 2005 when she partnered with the World Poker Tour to become a Chipleaders hostess. She then became interested in playing the game when she got inspired by the victory experienced by poker professional Chris Moneymaker at a World Series of Poker event. After witnessing such victory, she started to play Hold'em poker games. The passion of this female poker professional for the game encouraged her to sign a contract with Tropical Poker in November 2006 so she could represent it and its Web site in her appearances in poker events, media interviews, and the press. This female poker professional was also tasked to promote Tropical Poker in the World Series of Poker in 2007.
